Strength and Conditioning Minor Overview

The Strength and Conditioning minor at USI educates you on applying scientific principles and the latest sports science research to develop training programs that enhance athletic performance and reduce injury risk. You'll gain skills in program prescription tailored to specific sports and athlete profiles, with coursework focused on teaching strength and conditioning exercises, including progressions, feedback, and safety. 

You'll also stay updated on current research and technologies through training science classes and learn data collection methods in testing and evaluation. The new Human Performance Lab in the Kinesiology and Sport Department offers hands-on experience with innovative training technology.
