USI Foundation honors David Herrenbruck with Nicholson Award

At its latest meeting on May 19, the USI Foundation Board of Directors awarded David W. Herrenbruck with the Suzanne A. Nicholson Leadership Award.

Herrenbruck, a member of the class of 1976, has served on the USI Foundation Board of Directors for 15 years, and has served as vice chair for Development, chair of the Campaign USI: Elevating Excellence feasibility study, and chair of the Alumni Annual Fund Campaign. He also has served as president of the USI Varsity Club and on the USI Alumni Council.

In the citation, the USI Foundation Board of Directors says that Herrenbruck is "one of USI's most ardent cheerleaders and volunteers, spreading the word of USI and its programs to the community and beyond. [Herrenbruck] personifies the mission of both the University and the USI Foundation: inspiring others to participate, volunteer and give."

The Nicholson Award was created in 2006 to honor Suzanne A. Nicholson for her 20 years of service to USI and the USI Foundation, and is given to a person who embodies her dedication and spirit in meeting the needs of the University of Southern Indiana.
