College Achievement Program

The College Achievement Program (CAP) is free for all eligible high school students!

Apply to CAP and request your CAP courses.

Course Prerequisites

CAP courses have certain requirements, or prerequisites, to be able to enroll in the course.

Advising Information

High school students should investigate whether a course will fit into their college coursework degree map before signing up for dual credit.

Initiate a Drop from a CAP Course

A CAP course drop request form needs to be submitted for a student wishing to drop their CAP course.

CAP Transcript

CAP students that are attending a university other than USI need to request their official transcript be sent to their university of choice.

Indiana College Core (ICC)

The Indiana College Core (ICC) Certificate consists of 30 semester hours of general education credit taken from six competency areas. CAP partners with high schools in Indiana to offer the ICC.

A Dual Credit Opportunity

The College Achievement Program (CAP) is a cooperative program between the University of Southern Indiana (USI) and participating high schools.

CAP courses are taught by high school instructors who meet USI's credentialing expectations and are trained and supported by USI faculty liaisons. CAP courses are USI courses, following the same curriculum and academic standards as on-campus sections.

The College Achievement Program has been continuously accredited by the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) since 2006.
