Excuse Policy

The USI Deaconess Clinic will provide written statements to students who are seen for illness or injury if the medical provider deems it necessary for you to be held out of class.  

No excuses will be given during finals.

The USI Deaconess Clinic will verify prolonged or serious illness to faculty if questions remain after discussion with the student.

Minor problems will not be verified.

Due to confidentiality policies, the nature of the problem cannot be discussed without the consent of the student.
