Know the Facts: Cannabis and Other Drugs

Learn about the short and long-term effects of cannabis and ways to reduce risk. 

Prescription Drugs
Most of us have taken a prescription medication at one time. If we do so under the direction of a doctor, they can be very helpful. However, when prescription medications are used in other ways, they can lead to lots of issues. Prescription drug misuse is classified as:

  • Using a prescription that is not prescribed to you
  • Using a prescription in a way that was not intended: taking more of it, taking it for a longer period of time, or taking it for another reason.

Drug Abuse
No matter how often or how little you're consuming, if your drug use is causing problems in your life - at work, school, home, or in your relationships - this can be a red flag.
