Harolyn Torain Leadership Scholarship TLC

Are you a first-year recipient of the Harolyn Torain Leadership Scholarship who wants to join a community of other curious and eager students? Look no further than this Themed Learning Community!

When you join this TLC, you will quickly meet other first-year students who have demonstrated academic achievement and leadership in diverse environments, just like you!

The Leadership Scholarship TLC is open to all majors; it is only required that you are a recipient of the Harolyn Torain Leadership Scholarship.

TLC Classes:

Students in the TLC will take your USI 101 - Soar to Success course together. This is a Core 39 required class as well as another Core 39 class reserved for the TLC communities.

TLC Signature Experiences:

In the Leadership Scholarship TLC, you'll work closely with Ms. Hogg and other students from across all colleges at USI to choose fun experiences and opportunities to enhance your first year at USI. Maybe you'll check out a USI theatre performance, or maybe you'll explore careers and majors with the USI faculty. Free food is always good, right? And how about visiting the Mesker Park Zoo? Bowling, ice skating, roller skating, biking on the USI trails...

This TLC can be whatever you want it to be – and USI will make sure you get the most out of your experience.
