Dr. Christine Wisch, Teaching Assistant Professor of Music History, presented her research in a paper titled “'A Philharmonic Woman:' Negotiating Music, Gender, and Performance in Mid-Nineteenth-Century Spanish Salons and Associations” at the Fryderyk Chopin Institute (Narodowy Instytut Fryderyka Chopina) in Warsaw, Poland in December 2025.
She was an invited presenter for the conference "Through the Prism of Chopin: Women, Music, and Social Change in the Long Nineteenth Century." The full program is available here.
