Dr. Islam Banisalman, Assistant Professor of Nursing, has recently published several articles and presented research at a nursing conference.
"A Systematic Review of Psychometric Instruments Used to Measure Stroke Family Caregiver Health" has been published in the Journal of Neuroscience (JNN). The JNN delivers the latest evidence in neuroscience practice and research. The article can be read online here.
The article, "Pressure Ulcer: Knowledge, Description, and Prevention Among Senior Nursing Students in Jordan," has been published in the Clinical Nursing Studies Journal. The article can be read online here.
In March, Banisalman attended the Southern Ohio/Northern Kentucky-Indiana Consortium—held in March 2026 in Cincinnati, Ohio—where she presented her research on senior nursing students' knowledge of pressure ulcers and their associated risk factors in Jourdan, contributing to ongoing efforts to improve patient safety, prevention strategies and nursing education.
"Nurses' Involvement in Hospital Health Policy Development: Benefits and Barriers: An Integrative Review" was published in the Western Journal of Nursing Research, which Banisalman listed as the first author on the piece. The peer-reviewed journal can be accessed online.
