How to Become a Client

Become a Client

At the Student Financial Success Center, we take pride in helping USI students, faculty, and the Evansville community become financially successful. If you would like to take the first steps in taking control of your finances and becoming financially successful, we ask that you fill out a simple form by clicking on the Become a Client link.

The Become a Client form serves as an introduction, which allows us to get to know a little bit about who you are, but it also gives us a better understanding of your current financial situation. With this form, we can take the first steps in helping our clients become financially successful. Once this form has been completed, you will receive an email with instructions for scheduling your Initial Meeting. This will serve as the first step in building a long-lasting and trusting relationship with you while we work together to ensure financial success. All information collected is strictly confidential and not shared or discussed outside of our individual meetings.

What You Can Expect

The Coaching Process

Step 1 - Initial Meeting

The Initial Meeting will consist of discussing the information obtained from the Become a Client form. The client’s goals will be developed and used as motivation for financial success. At the end of this meeting, we will start to discuss a plan for a budget for the upcoming month.

Step 2 - Plan Implementation

In the Plan Implementation Meeting, we will discuss and verify the information provided during the Initial Meeting. A plan will be finalized and implemented to aid the client in meeting their financial goals. During this meeting, clients will learn how to establish a monthly budget and how to track and align their spending habits with that plan. Lastly, the end of this meeting will include scheduling a Follow-Up Meeting.

Step 3 - Follow-Up Meeting

In the Follow-Up Meeting, we will be able to monitor clients' progress and discover the areas of the plan in which improvements can be made. Clients can continue to meet with the SFSC for Follow-Up Meetings as many or as few times as they would like, based on their desired level of support.
