To improve health by recruiting, educating and retaining healthcare professionals in underserved communities.

We are Southwest Indiana AHEC!

Southwest Indiana Area Health Education Center is one of nine regional centers of the Indiana AHEC Network. We ignite an interest in health careers and train future professionals. We partner with the best. Come join us!

AHEC Scholars

The AHEC Scholars program is designed to give health professions students a deeper understanding of rural and urban healthcare, caring for underserved populations, and the importance of practice transformation in a clinical care setting.

Indiana SANE Training Project

The Indiana SANE Training Project provides advanced nursing educational opportunities, mentoring and support for Registered Nurses and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses to become trained, clinically competent and certified as Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners.
