Sarah Volkman, DO

Age-Friendly Healthcare System

Dr. Sarah Volkman is a Geriatrician at Deaconess Primary Care for Seniors in Evansville. She is the Geriatric Champion for the USI Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP) and sits on the Deaconess Clinic Primary Care Leadership Council for Geriatrics.

She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed her residency at the Deaconess Family Medicine Residency in 2021 and completed the Deaconess Geriatric Fellowship in 2022.

Dr. Volkman is dedicated to actively using the 4’Ms to create an Age-Friendly Healthcare System in southwest Indiana. In her everyday practice as a geriatrician and Geriatric Champion for the GWEP, she aims to integrate this positive approach to care into her practice and educating other professionals and student learners.
