Visit

Everything you need to know before you come.

New Harmony is a small town with a big history, and most of it is still here to see. The buildings the Harmonists constructed. The spaces where Owenite scientists worked and debated. The town that evolved from both experiments. You can walk through it all in an afternoon.

The historic district is compact: a few blocks where most of the significant sites are concentrated. Some buildings are open for tours. Others you can view from the outside. Gardens, parks and contemporary architecture sit alongside 19th-century structures. It's a place where history is woven into a living community.

Whether you're here for a few hours or a few days, there's plenty to explore. We're here to help you make the most of your visit.

Plan Your Visit

New Harmony is worth visiting, but a little planning makes the experience better. You'll want to know when we're open, how to book tours, what sites we manage and what the weather might do. The sections below cover the practical stuff so you can show up ready to explore.
