Convocation Pin and T-shirt Design Contest

Students are invited to submit a pin and t-shirt design for next year’s incoming class. The designer of the winning artwork will be recognized as part of New Student Convocation and receive Flex Money on USI Student ID. The pin will be given to new students at New Student Convocation and the t-shirts are given out during Welcome Week College Meetings. 

Pin and T-shirt Design Guidelines

The pin and the t-shirt design(s) need to represent the University and convey how students view the University. The design(s) must meet the following:

  • Be able to be reproduced for a 1” or 1½” lapel pin.
  • Contain “University of Southern Indiana” or “USI” on it.
  • Meet University Branding guidelines (usi.edu/brand)
  • The artwork for the t-shirt does not need to be identical to the pin but relate.
  • T-shirt design must be able to be printed on five different color shirts (white, navy blue, royal blue, cardinal, and red) and be no more than a 2-color imprint.
  • Submissions should be in both print and digital format and must include a USI Copyright Release completed and submitted.

 Disclaimers

  1. The winning artwork becomes the property of the University of Southern Indiana and it may be modified to meet University standards and may be recreated in the format needed for production of the t-shirts and lapel pins.
  2. The designer of the winning artwork agrees to forfeits all rights to the usage of the art. The must sign the Copyright Release Form upon submission of design to be considered.
  3. The designer of the winning artwork agrees to have his/her photo with the winning piece published through USI News and Information.
  4. The designer of the winning artwork will be recognized as part of convocation and receive Flex Money on USI Student ID. 

 Designs must be submitted by May 1, 2025.
