Welcome Week Programs for Student and Family

2-3 p.m. | Cultural Diversity Welcome Reception | Carter Hall

  • The Multicultural Center hosts this unique event to help participants build bridges and friendships in the USI community. Contact the Multicultural Center with questions at 812-465-7188 or emailing multiculturalcenter@usi.edu

4 p.m. | New Student Convocation | Liberty Arena, Home of the Screaming Eagles

  • New students and their guests are invited to participate in Convocation, the official welcome and introduction to USI for all new students.

5-6:30 p.m. | Family Dinner | University Center (UC)

  • Following New Student Convocation, join us for our Family Dinner. USI students and children age 5 and under are free. All other guests are $15 per person. Sponsored by New Student and Transitional Programs. 
  • Menu: Baked or fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, coleslaw, cornbread, cookie, drinks
