Economics major guest speaker at USI Economics Club

Thank you to Tim Puckett ’09, for speaking to the USI Economics Club. Tim earned a bachelor’s degree in economics, and he talked to students about his career path in the financial services industry that led to his current position as Investment Executive with Fifth Third Securities.

Tim also gave sound career advice that is applicable to all students in all majors, such as behaving ethically, taking risks while you are young, and fighting becoming complacent. He emphasized the importance of communication skills – verbal, nonverbal, and written. “The best ideas not effectively communicated are no longer the best ideas.”
