Board Welcomes Aaron Huff

At its spring board meeting, the USI Board of Advisors welcomed new board member Aaron D. Huff, a dedicated educator and visionary leader who is the Principal of Evansville Bosse High School. With an unwavering commitment to student success and a passion for transformative education, he has earned a prominent reputation in educational leadership.

Principal HuffIn addition to his role as Principal, Aaron also holds the prestigious position of President at the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). In this capacity, he collaborates with educational leaders nationwide to advocate for innovative policies and practices that enhance the educational experience for all students.

Aaron's pursuit of excellence in education extends beyond his professional roles. He earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Ball State University, a master's degree in school counseling from Indiana State University, and Educational Leadership certification from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He is pursuing his EdD at Indiana University Bloomington, focusing on educational leadership and policy. Through his studies, he aims to deepen his understanding of the intricate dynamics within school systems and develop strategies to address the challenges facing educators and students today.

With a wealth of experience in school administration and a relentless drive to positively impact students' lives, Aaron is an inspiring figure in the field of education. His leadership, advocacy, and commitment to fostering a nurturing learning environment make him an invaluable asset to the educational community.

"My connection to USI is that my mother was an adjunct professor and associate professor for 28 years," he explains. "I have had extensive connections to the Multicultural Center and Mrs. Pam Hopson. I started my career in education working with Mrs. Hopson and College Mentors for Kids, a program where USI students mentor elementary-age students. During this time I was able to build deep connections to the University."
