Call for Proposals  Submit Your Proposal

Are you considering a presentation? Here are the key steps and information to help you.

  1. View the Call for Proposals for instructions, proposal guidelines, and review rubric.
    • Decide on the type of work: Teaching Practice or Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL)/Scholarly Inquiry
    • Choose the preferred presentation format: Lightning Presentation, Standard Presentation, or Poster Discussion (or no preference)
    • View a Preview of the Proposal Submission form
  2. Submit your presentation proposal and abstract by the due date.

Key Dates

  • Submit proposals to present by Monday, December 15 (due date extended)
  • Notification sent for regular proposals: Tuesday, January 13
  • Registration opens (free): Wednesday, January 7
  • Confirm intent to present: Tuesday, January 20
  • Revised abstracts due: Friday, January 30
  • Symposium program available: late January
  • Upload presentation files: Monday, February 23
  • Symposium: Tuesday, February 24
  • Open Class Celebration: Faculty Visiting Faculty: dates to be announced, for USI faculty members.

Presentation abstracts and materials may be made available through USI's Scholarly Open Access Repository (SOAR), which is indexed on Google Scholar to provide broader dissemination of our presenters' works.
