Hospital Indemnity

Voluntary Hospital Indemnity Insurance

Hospital Indemnity coverage pays a benefit when you or your covered dependents are admitted to the hospital for a covered stay. This coverage can complement your health insurance to help you pay for the costs associated with a hospital stay. It can also provide funds which can be used to help pay the out-of-pocket expenses your medical plan may not cover, such as coinsurance, copays and deductibles.

The Wellness Benefit

Enrollees of the Accident, Hospital and Critical Illness plans may receive a wellness benefit of $50 per enrolled person per plan! Each member can claim one of the covered screenings once per year.

For example, a member enrolled in Accident plan submits a covered screening then the member would receive $50!

Filing a Claim for Wellness Benefit

To get the $50 Wellness Benefit, register for a Sun Life Account, then log-in and click “submit a claim” then select “a wellness / cancer screening benefit claim” and follow the prompts!
