University of Southern Indiana Campus

A modern 300-acre campus with room for growth, the University of Southern Indiana is located in Evansville, Indiana. The city was founded in 1812 on a scenic bend on the Ohio River and is home to a population of nearly 114,000 people. This makes Evansville the third-largest city in Indiana. Evansville is the social and economic hub for our region, which includes Southwest Indiana, Southeast Illinois, and Northwest Kentucky. Evansville is less than 200 miles away from four major U.S. cities (176 miles southwest of Indianapolis, Indiana; 156 miles north of Nashville, Tennessee; 126 miles west of Louisville, Kentucky; and 174 miles east of St. Louis, Missouri. It is located near to both the Illinois and Kentucky state lines.

Southwestern Indiana has four distinct seasons. Students should plan a wardrobe for changing seasons. The Midwest is similar to the Southeast with humid summers and a moderate amount of rainfall throughout the year. Winters in the Midwest tend to be colder than the Southeast with substantial snowfall amounts in some areas.
