Study Mathematical Sciences at USI

Mathematical understanding is cultivated by a curriculum designed to assist students who are preparing for and pursuing a variety of career options.

The primary goals of the Department of Mathematical Sciences are to improve students' quantitative reasoning processes, their proficiencies with mathematical operations and their problem-solving capabilities.

Students majoring in quantitative technical areas select more rigorous upper-level electives. Experiences from these courses provide a foundation for understanding the applicability and power of mathematics to a variety of problems.
