From Wedding Rings to Nose Rings … Generational Differences

Why is it so difficult to attract and retain people who care? Where is the "work ethic" in today's young healthcare providers? How will we orient/educate the very people who will be (gasp!) providing care to the rest of us as we age? What skills will assist leaders/educators when working with this increasingly diverse workforce? One thing is for sure, if you don't plan on changing, don't plan on hiring! This presentation will highlight the heroes, stories, values and traditions of the four generational groups in the workforce today. Illustrations of education and management styles that work for each group will be given.

About the Speaker:
Faith Bresnan Roberts, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, is an international speaker on topics close to everyone’s heart. As a nurse she has practiced in varied settings, served as faculty, published and spoken at state, regional, national and international conferences.
