Fix My Home

Fix My Home

If you need any work done that you cannot do yourself by using the self help maintenance, please submit a work order online.

When submitting a work order if you request staff call first, please answer your phone or have voicemail set up. Not answering your phone delays staff addressing maintenance concerns. If maintenance staff cannot reach you by phone after three attempts, they will enter the space in order to address the work order.

After submitting a work order be sure to check your USI email for updates. If you do not receive update emails, please check your junk and clutter folders.

Students can ask USI facility staff to show photo ID before entering their apartment or suite.

Maintenance, custodial, or pest control problems that are from resident neglect of their apartment or suite may be charged to the resident(s).

Check out our healthy tips for students that will ensure a positive living experience.

Please note the Fix My Home work order is only for maintenance issues. If you need assistance with internet, please contact the IT Help Desk at 812-465-1080. If you experience a problem with a washer or a dryer, report this to our laundry services provider.

Emergency Maintenance
First, is the issue an emergency? Can the maintenance related issue cause damage to either the facility or a person? If the answer is yes, call the facilities' control room at 812-464-1845.
