From Here She Grows

From Here She Grows
January 9 - February 5, 2023
Reception: Sunday, January 15, 1-3 p.m.

The Kenneth P. McCutchan Art Center/Palmina F. and Stephen S. Pace Galleries is pleased to present From Here She Grows by Olivia Supper.  Olivia was awarded the 2022 Efroymson Bridge Year Fellowship. The Efroymson Bridge Year Fellowship is a competitive award program that provides a highly motivated and talented studio art, photography or design graduate of the University of Southern Indiana’s Art and Design Department with the opportunity to develop a strong portfolio in preparation for graduate study. The Fellowship allows the recipient to focus on their studio or design practice to expand their artistic vision and enhance their portfolio, to gain maturity as an art maker or designer, and to successfully gain entrance to graduate school in their area of expertise.

Olivia Supper’s colorful installation and print works create dream-like narrative vignettes that speak to both the fecundity and breakdown of nature and the feminine.  The exhibition also incorporates her sketches, hand-made stencils, photopositives, and other ephemera from the printmaking processes used to create her finished works.

A reception for the exhibition will be held on Sunday, January 15th beginning at 1 p.m.

This exhibition will be displayed in the galleries from January 9 through February 5. The MAC/PACE, located in the lower level of the Liberal Arts Center, is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and open on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
