Per Diem Rates - University of Southern Indiana

As of January 1, 2025, USI Per Diem Rates have increased

Per Diem is available for business trips to help supplement the cost of food purchases while away from home. Per Diem is not paid for same-day travel; overnight travel must be involved to claim Per Diem. For more information, see the USI Travel Policies and Procedures document.

Per Diem rates for travel that was completed by December 31, 2024

In-State Rate (travel within Indiana): $26 per day
Out-of-State Rate (for the contiguous 48 states): $32 per day
International Rate: Depends on the destination -- Reference the Per Diem Chart

Per Diem rates for travel that occurs on or after January 1, 2025

In-State Rate (travel within Indiana): $41 per day
Out-of-State Rate (travel to any other U.S. State): $52 per day
International Rate: Depends on the destination -- Reference the Per Diem Chart
