What is Dementia?

Dementia is a general term for loss of memory, language, problem-solving and other thinking abilities that are severe enough to interfere with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common cause of dementia.

A dementia friendly community is a village, town, city or county that is informed, safe and respectful of individuals with the disease, their families and caregivers and provides supportive options that foster quality of life. – Dementia Friendly America

Memory Care Kits!

Memory Care Kits are created for persons living with dementia and their care partners. Memory Care Kits are available to check out at Evansville Public Library Branches and USI's Rice Library!
