Respiratory Therapy Spotlight: Mary Phillips

USI Respiratory Therapy Program

Degrees Earned: I earned my AS in respiratory therapy from USI in 2005. I earned my Master in Education from Western Governors University in 2022.

Additional Certifications: Registered Pulmonary Function Technician (RPFT) and Certified Asthma Educator (AE-C)

Mary was born in Texas, raised in Ohio, and became a Hoosier in 1995. She joined the USI RT faculty in 2021 and have practiced at Owensboro Health, Deaconess-Riley Children's Specialty Center and with home care/disease management providers.

USI has been educating respiratory therapists for over 50 years! Our program’s history in the profession provides an incredible foundation, and as the profession advances, USI respiratory therapy is advancing too! Because of where we’ve been, we are leading what’s next. There’s never been a better time to become a respiratory therapist with USI.
