Culminating Experience

The USI Health Administration and Community Health program provides experiential learning opportunities to students throughout the tri-state area and beyond.

Students begin by taking HP 475: Professionalism in Healthcare to prepare for acute care, post-acute care or community-based experiential learning.

Click the buttons below to learn about each option.

Experiential Learning

Internship

USI's Career Success Center works closely with students to assess their learning goals and career interests, helping them secure internships that will enhance their skills and broaden their career options.

Administrator-in-Training

Students interested in post-acute care have the AIT residency option, which counts for 12 credits or 1,040 hours of practical experience in a long-term care facility over the final two semesters.

Capstone

Students currently working in healthcare or public health may choose to complete the online capstone if they do not need an internship or residency.
